Cousins, Cousins

Josh and I went with my parents to Denton, Texas this past weekend to visit my Aunt Anne. Here are some of my cousins along with some spouses and kids:

The Photographer

I am still going through old pictures and I found this one I took on a hike with my dad when Joshua was about 1 year old. I recently bought a new camera and Josh pretty much took it over and learned how to use it befoer I did. I have been slowly learning how to use it myself - trying not to simply use it as a point-and-shoot. My old manual 35 mm slr skills are actually coming back.

Twins?

It is amazing how much Joel has looked like Josh over the years. They are like twins 8 years apart. The biggest difference is that Joel has a rounder face.

Roxy

Going through some old pictures the other day, I found these taken of Roxy when she was just a pup. She was actually smaller than Poochie. (She's a big monster now!!) Jeremy and Joel have always had a soft spot for animals which you can see in these pictures.

Purple Belt

Jenna is still advancing and improving in Karate. She loves it. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but she is now sparring, and has been since she went to the gold belt. Being a girl, I was sure that the first time she sparred and got hit (or kicked) that would be the end of Karate for her, but she is still hanging in there and actually smiles while sparring!! Don't know if I could do that myself...

Weekend in the Mountains & Hair

We spent this weekend up in the mountains with my parents at their place. It was very relaxing and the weather was great! My parents found some old pictures and documents that had belonged to my grandmother and I spent a good part of the weekend scanning them into my computer . We even found my grandfather's graduation announcement (dated 1925) and his 5th grade report card... fascinating. Here are a couple of more recent pictures of my cousins from the 80's. I thought they looked pretty cool and very indicative of the times...

The Juggler

Quick Post - sorry it has been so long!! This was New Year's eve at my parents' house. Josh started juggling several years ago and has actually gotten pretty good at it. He did not get his ability from me!!
