Purple Belt

Jenna is still advancing and improving in Karate. She loves it. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but she is now sparring, and has been since she went to the gold belt. Being a girl, I was sure that the first time she sparred and got hit (or kicked) that would be the end of Karate for her, but she is still hanging in there and actually smiles while sparring!! Don't know if I could do that myself...

Orange Belt

It sure is hard to keep up with a blog!! But here I am again with a quick post. Jenna got her Orange Belt Yesterday. We sure are proud of her.

Gold Belt

Jenna successfully tested for and received her Gold Belt in Karate last Saturday. She was a very happy girl!! And we were very proud parents!

Karate!

After years of dance (ballet, jazz and even a little tap), Jenna decided she had enough. She absolutely did not want to go back to dance class this year. So, we asked her what she wanted to do instead - gymnastics? no! soccer? no! I can't remember all the options, but the one she was really excited about was Karate! So, we signed her up for a trial Karate class and she loved it. She has now been doing it since the beginning of September and should test for her 'orange belt' in December. Here is a scrapbook page I created using pictures I took during her 2-day 'trial' class.
