Jan 2 Cell phone pics

My birthday is December 31st and Chrissy's is January 2nd, so both families went to Koze Teppan Grill.  Here are a couple of pics from that dinner.
The letter for the January Photo challenge was 'B' - for "Beer"

Finally getting around to some more Summer Vacation Pages!

As cold as it is right now it's hard to remember how hot it was in Death Valley! But really beautiful too...

Still More Summer Vacation Pages

I just love the way old downtown Las Vegas has been revitalized. A couple of blocks of Fremont Street has been closed to traffic and is now kind of like an outdoor mall. It is a fun place to take the whole family! If you can't tell, these pictures are from the overhead screen that covers the whole street.

A Family Bowling Outing

One day out of the blue, Lee said "Let's go bowling". So we did and we all had a great time. Sometimes spur of the moment outings are the best!

Stock Car Races

We went to the Stock Car Races in Las Cruces this past Saturday after not going for about 20 years. So of course Joel had never been before. He kept saying things like "This is awesome!" So I think maybe he enjoyed himself. Lee had actually taken Jeremy and Josh more recently than 20 years (but I wasn't there so it doesn't really count :) ) so Jeremy remembered going before. He had a blast too. Now Lee is all inspired to start Stock Car Racing. I figure why not? Over the years he has done Soccer, Softball, Mountain Biking, and more recently gotten into boxing, not to mention being in a Band, so he might as well race! Ha - we'll see what REALLY happens with it...

Summer Vacation - continued

I'm slowly but surely getting our summer vacation pics scrapped. We really had a great time. We spent the first night in Las Vegas and went downtown to Fremont Street to watch the Fremont Street Experience. Really neat show - on a huge screen over the street that's about a block long.

I'm not sure what it was with boxes and laundry baskets but all of our kids really loved playing in them. Here is Joel playing in a box we used to keep in the living room for toys. He spent hours playing in it. What a look of pure joy on his face!

3 Birthdays

Last weekend while visiting my brother Jeffrey and his family, we ended up celebrating 3 birthdays! Jeffrey's had been the week before, but they were actually in Chicago at the time for Mr. Beach's (Bonnie's father) burial. We never actually had a cake for Josh's birthday, and Saturday was Lee's birthday so Bonnie added their names to the cake and we sang to them all at once.

Cousins, Cousins

Josh and I went with my parents to Denton, Texas this past weekend to visit my Aunt Anne. Here are some of my cousins along with some spouses and kids:

I got a kick out of my cousin's hair and he got a kickout of Joel's hair and I could not resist doing this page:

Twins?

It is amazing how much Joel has looked like Josh over the years. They are like twins 8 years apart. The biggest difference is that Joel has a rounder face.

Roxy

Going through some old pictures the other day, I found these taken of Roxy when she was just a pup. She was actually smaller than Poochie. (She's a big monster now!!) Jeremy and Joel have always had a soft spot for animals which you can see in these pictures.

Diablos Baseball!

Last weekend, my company had an outing at the local minor league baseball park. Mark and Amy were here for the weekend so we took them along too. And all 4 kids actually went! We had a very nice time.
