My Sept 22 sign-of-the-day
Playing catch-up. I didn't even leave my house yesterday so I didn't have a chance to get a pic. Here is my pic for Sept 22.

Homecoming Remnants
I just noticed this yesterday afternoon when I got home. Jenna really needs to put this stuff away, but because she didn't, I got an interesting picture!

Old Pic of same Wall!
This is the same wall that was recently exposed when a building in downtown El Paso was demolished - and I just took pictures of it! This picture was taken sometime before 1916. Seen on Facebook Remember in El Paso when - uploaded by Jim Stevens - El Paso downtown Wall - Aultman Collection No A-1170

These painted signs were recently exposed after the demolition of an old building in Downtown El Paso. The John T. Muir Building was built by Trost and Trost architects in 1916. It was originally a beautiful building but had been remodeled at some point. Our City council voted to demolish it because: "It is not on the historic register, It's a non-contributing historic building and it has been irreparably altered." Sad - but on the other hand, it's pretty cool that these signs were exposed!
Unfortunately, I think they are going to be covered up again because the plans are to build a Walgreens on this now-empty lot.
