I had planned on doing this page awhile back but I was extremely disappointed that I could only find one picture of me on this horse statue. Yesterday, while looking for pictures of the kids, I found my grandmother's old slide viewer and in the case were more pictures of the 'hungry horse'. I was totally thrilled, as you can imagine. I used to love our trip to Hungry Horse - we always stopped there on the way to Glacier Park - and I always wanted to get a picture on the horse. We quit going to Montana in 1972 when my grandmother sold her place. But we went back on a 'fun' trip in 1980 - of course we had to go by and get a picture on "Old Jerry"! I wonder if it is still there. I searched for Hungry Horse images on the web but did not find any. But the Hungry Horse website says that there are 'statuesque' reminders of the hungry horses, so maybe they are still around! They used to refer to the town as the Dam Town and the store was the Dam Store. I thought that was cool because I could actually say it without getting in trouble!

I'm not able to click on the pages to make them bigger...so I can read what you've wrote and look at the pictures close up. Is there a way that you can do that again?
Ok - The problem is that I did not want my pictures at the top of the post so I would move them down or move the text up. Sometimes it messes up the link to the full-size picture. So I guess I will just give in and let the pictures stay at the top!
Thanks Dana! The picture of Jeff on the horse in 1980...Joseph just absolutely looks like him there! I love seeing these old pictures of your family.
